So the corner of my basement has a pool of gray, musty smelling water sitting in it, and the smell is now seeping up into my apartment. Fuck. Need to have a talk with the landlord about that one.

Not a good sign. Best they know about it and fix it before the winter freeze. A little bleach in it should kill any nasties that are stinking it up.
Yeah, I'm gonna talk to him today about it. Good call on the bleach, too. The really sad thing is that most of my brewing stuff is sitting in the middle of the pool. Granted it's all fermenters, kegs, brewpots, mashtuns, etc, so nothing has actually been damaged, but it all needs to be cleaned. Blech. At least the grains are all in a plastic container that doesn't leak.
